Prescription Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
This Prescription Policy explains the requirements that apply when purchasing prescription lenses through rimcoo.com.
Rimcoo is operated by Danyang Endi Glasses Co., Ltd. (“Rimcoo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
All prescription lenses are individually prepared according to the prescription information provided by the customer. To help ensure order accuracy, customers purchasing prescription lenses must upload a valid prescription before lens production can begin.
1. Prescription Requirements
A valid prescription upload is required for all orders that include prescription lenses.
Customers must provide a clear and complete copy or photograph of their prescription before prescription lens production can begin.
Orders for eyeglass frames only do not require a prescription.
Depending on the lenses selected, the required prescription information may include:
- Sphere (SPH);
- Cylinder (CYL);
- Axis;
- Pupillary Distance (PD);
- ADD, where applicable;
- Prism information, where applicable; and
- Other prescription or lens specifications required for the selected lenses.
The prescription should be current and issued or confirmed by a licensed optometrist, ophthalmologist, or other qualified eye-care professional.
Incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unclear prescription information may affect lens performance, visual clarity, and wearing comfort.
2. Customer Responsibility
Before submitting a prescription lens order, customers are responsible for reviewing their prescription carefully.
By placing an order for prescription lenses, you confirm that:
- The prescription submitted is accurate and complete;
- The prescription is current and appropriate for your individual needs;
- The prescription was issued or confirmed by a qualified eye-care professional;
- You are authorised to use the prescription information provided; and
- You have reviewed the prescription information before submitting your order.
If prescription lenses are manufactured correctly according to the prescription submitted by the customer, an error or inaccuracy in the prescription itself is not considered a manufacturing error by Rimcoo.
3. Prescription Review and Verification
Before production begins, Rimcoo may review the submitted prescription to determine whether the information is sufficiently clear and complete for the selected lenses.
We may contact you if:
- The uploaded prescription cannot be read clearly;
- Required prescription values are missing;
- Prescription information appears incomplete or inconsistent;
- Additional PD, ADD, prism, or other information is required; or
- Further clarification is reasonably necessary to process the order.
Prescription lens production may be delayed while we wait for required information or clarification.
If the prescription information cannot reasonably be completed or processed, the affected prescription order may be placed on hold or cancelled.
If an order is cancelled by Rimcoo because the required prescription information cannot be obtained or reasonably fulfilled, any applicable refund will be processed to the original payment method where reasonably possible.
4. Lens Production
Prescription lenses are custom-made according to the prescription information and lens options submitted with the order.
Prescription and other customised lens orders generally require additional preparation time before shipment.
Processing time may begin only after the required prescription information has been received and is sufficiently clear and complete for production.
Once lens production, cutting, fitting, assembly, or another customisation process has begun, changes or cancellation may no longer be possible.
Slight differences in lens appearance, thickness, edge thickness, reflections, or other physical characteristics may occur depending on factors such as:
- Prescription strength;
- Lens index;
- Lens material;
- Lens coatings;
- Frame size and shape; and
- Manufacturing requirements.
Such normal variations do not necessarily indicate a product defect.
5. Prescription Changes
If you discover an error or need to change your prescription after placing an order, please contact us as soon as possible at:
We will make reasonable efforts to assist if production has not yet begun.
Once prescription lens production or another customisation process has started, changes may no longer be possible.
Customers should therefore carefully review all prescription information before completing their order.
6. Remakes and Prescription Errors
If prescription lenses are manufactured incorrectly compared with the prescription submitted and confirmed for the order, please contact us so that we can review the issue.
Where Rimcoo confirms that the manufacturing error is our responsibility, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.
If the lenses were manufactured correctly according to the prescription submitted by the customer, but the submitted prescription itself was incorrect, outdated, incomplete, or unsuitable, any replacement or remake may be subject to additional charges.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.
7. Progressive, Multifocal and Specialised Lenses
Progressive, multifocal, reading, prism, or other specialised prescription lenses may require additional prescription information or measurements.
For example, progressive or multifocal lenses may require an applicable ADD value in addition to distance prescription information.
If information required for the selected lens type is missing or unclear, we may contact you before production.
Production will not begin until we have sufficient information to reasonably fulfil the selected prescription lens order.
8. Prescription Information and Privacy
Prescription information submitted through rimcoo.com is used for purposes related to reviewing, preparing, manufacturing, fulfilling, and supporting prescription eyewear orders.
Depending on the jurisdiction, prescription information may be considered sensitive or health-related personal information.
We handle prescription information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements.
Customers should not submit medical or health information that is unrelated to the prescription eyewear order.
9. Returns, Cancellations and Refunds
Prescription lenses and other individually customised eyewear are made specifically for the customer.
Once production has begun, customised prescription products are generally not eligible for cancellation, return, or refund solely because of:
- A change of mind;
- Personal preference; or
- Incorrect prescription information supplied by the customer.
This does not apply where:
- Rimcoo manufactured the prescription incorrectly compared with the information submitted and confirmed for the order;
- The product is defective;
- The wrong product was supplied;
- The product arrived damaged; or
- Applicable law provides additional mandatory consumer rights.
For complete information, please review our Return & Refund Policy.
